There are two types of printers: inkjet & laser. These printers take either liquid ink or a powder toner. Other printer types use solid ink, thermal, or ribbons.

A lot of people are not familiar with the options that are available to them, so we offer a primer below to familiarize you with some of the lingo.
There are three main types of ink cartridges; OEM (original equipment manufacturer), compatible, and remanufactured.
OEM, Compatible, and Remanufactured – What is the difference?
OEM cartridges are manufactured by the printer companies themselves and are the most expensive. Using the “razor and blades” model, the company will sell you a printer very cheap knowing that profits will be made with the purchase of ink.
Compatible cartridges are newly manufactured, just as the OEM, but not made by the printer companies themselves. Because of this, compatible cartridges are almost always found at discounted rates vs. the OEM. This is because they are generic and not “name brand”, much like the drug industry. These reliable alternatives are guaranteed to perform as well as the original by the manufacturer and usually cost a fraction of what the OEM costs. At times InkPeace will offer a compatible instead of a remanufactured cartridge due to OEM patent infringement issues.
Remanufactured cartridges are another type of cartridge you can use that is a more eco-friendly solution. “Remanufactured” is just a way of saying “recycled” and this type of cartridge is a previously used product that has been tested, taken apart, cleaned, refilled, put back together, and tested again. Most cartridges can be refilled several times as long as they have not been damaged or left out of the printer to dry up for long periods of time.
You can trust the quality of remanufactured cartridges!
InkPeace offers an unconditional, full 2 year warranty on all ink and toner purchased.
